Essen-based dj duo such a blurrr moves freely through the borderlands of club music and beyond — from dubby echoes to different shades of house and techno with a psychedelic drift. Before the project took its current shape, Mi and Markus contributed significantly to the Ruhr area’s underground culture through their nights at Goethebunker, Golzheim and Mischanlage. Today, as residents of Düsseldorf’s Callshop Radio and recurring guests on Brussels’ Kiosk Radio, they channel that history into vibrant sets built from years of digging, booking and playing together. Their signature sound is loose, curious and beautifully off‑centre, hopping across genre borders. Music is the key.
