ANNEX — DJ selections

LomiBerlin
Lomi is a musician who explores the intersection of sound and architecture. Since co-founding BRUTALISM in 2015, he uses the label as a cultural research platform that explores sonic forms through materials, textures and structure. His approach combines electronic composition with a data-driven exploration of visual media and spatial aesthetics.
MAENDICologne
It’s hard to pin down MAENDI’s sound, since her taste reaches from her oldschool RnB knowledge to dubstep, drum n’ bass and experimental stuff, while ranging between cheesy and dark. Her sets are always a surprise, breaking styles, unwilling to commit to a specific genre or sound. Now based in Cologne, she is a substantial part of Radio 80000, a project and ongoing community work that meanwhile influences the scene of electronic and non-electronic music far beyond Munich.
Moritz RiesenbeckDüsseldorf
Moritz Riesenbeck (*1991) is an artist based in Düsseldorf. His work investigates the layers of meaning associated with objects and places, in particular their influence on memory, identity, and physical presence. He is interested in how spaces and objects function as carriers of stories and emotions, and how they shape our sense of self. His interdisciplinary practice spans various media, with a focus on site-specific approaches and the use of theatrical methods to stage non-art spaces. He is particularly concerned with sites where individual and collective experiences overlap, as well as contexts in which art directly engages with and becomes effective within social reality. www.moritzriesenbeck.com , Instagram
PlanarBerlin
Planar approaches electronic music as a continuously evolving material where sound is constantly shifting through repetition and resonance. Drawing inspiration from the interplay between physical and digital spaces, the project explores how subtle transformations can alter perception without ever breaking the flow. Deep synth textures, intricate rhythmic patterns and selected field recordings merge into hypnotic structures that drift between tension and release. Rooted in ambient and dub techno influences, his music treats the loop as a living process, where subtle variation gives rise to new forms.

LOBBY — Sound Installations

Dan MoufangDüsseldorf
Dan Moufang is a Düsseldorf-based artist working across ambient music, field recording, glitch and experimental sound. His practice explores the form and materiality of creative processes themselves, tracing connections to everyday situations and occasional phenomena through improvisation, film and generative art.
Daniel LythgoeKarlsruhe
Daniel Lythgoe (dak) is an artist, musician, and architect, making intermedia performances, acousmatic sound works, and installations. Recent projects range from algorithmic interpretations of graphic scores to experiments in light-sound transduction, spatial compositions, and discrete-time feedback systems: work that stays in the in-between, where meaning is not given but has to be continually re-negotiated.
Dornen & Vesna KatCologne
Dornen works with modular synthesizers, field recordings and noise to shape raw, sculptural sound objects. With a direct and minimalist approach, he manipulates analog, pure frequencies and explores the boundaries of sound as both material and medium. Vesna Kat is a composer, sound artist, and vocalist based in Cologne. In her artistic practice, she explores sound and music as forms of speculative storytelling, drawing on the sonic aesthetics of possible pasts and futures. She combines experimental electroacoustic soundscapes, voice, and choral singing with narrative forms drawn from folk traditions, fables, and fairy tales. Vesna Kat’s work is deeply inspired by the landscapes and cultural contexts of her place of origin. She develops her projects through a research-led production process in which photographic sketches, site-specific research, and field recordings serve as starting points for her compositional and improvisational practice. Through this approach, her works open up relational perspectives on environment, experience, and community, offering alternative ways of imagining beyond hegemonic narratives of societal progress.
