Annabelle b2b LeniartEssen
Annabelle is a DJ rooted in the Essen-based collective Gitter, bringing a distinctive sense of flow and atmosphere to the dancefloor. With an intuitive feel for rhythm and selection, she effortlessly transforms her deep musical knowledge into unforgettable moments. Whether at Tresor.West, Druckluft, Junkyard, Goethebunker, or the Kornfeld Festival, she has a remarkable ability to channel her love for music and movement directly into the crowd. Her sets are marked by a playful confidence and a finely tuned connection to her audience — creating spaces where energy circulates naturally and the night unfolds with ease. As a co-founder of Gitter and Kontaktfeld, Leniart has been part of the underground scene in the Ruhr area since 2018, organizing raves and concerts in Essen and beyond. Behind the decks, his sound is atmospheric, deep, and driving. Each set is carefully curated for the night and always evolving, with a strong focus on low-end, sub-heavy sounds. Blending hypnotic, groovy techno with influences of dub and deep house, his sets are sometimes heady yet irresistibly danceable.
Dns b2b MetraphaEssen
Dns, member of the Essener collective Gitter and co-founder of the party series abstract_concrete plays with an energetic fusion of powerful and hypnotic melodies and creates ecstatic sound landscapes throughout his sets. Driven by the cultural and musical diversity, of his hometown Essen and his playground the Ruhr Area his mixes display an act of refusing the obvious. He loves to surprise his listeners with groove and funk inspired techno tunes to loosen the gradually build up tension. Metrapha, a part of Essenʼs local cultural scene and co-founder of the Gitter collective, guides his listeners through dark, hypnotic sonic landscapes, where he gradually dares to transition into unknown spheres. In his DJ sets, he perceives the audience as an emotional resonance body, eliciting visceral reactions through driving, technoid grooves and melodic, sometimes dub-inspired textures. For him, techno serves as a vehicle to explore the ineffable and transform the club space into a realm of immediacy. With both the Gitter Raves and his own event series abstract_concrete, Metrapha regularly brings his vision of techno to life within the local club scene and at extravagant off-locations. Always in search of the real within track culture, these carefully curated club nights invite an immersive experience and reveal the profound artistic depth of techno as an art form.

About the night

Gitter is a collective of artists and event organizers that has been actively shaping Essenʼs cultural scene since 2018. Originally specializing in techno raves that began secretly in the woods and have since evolved into events in the local club scene and off-locations, the collective has continuously developed over the years. This growth led to the creation of Gitter Raum, a cultural center on the outskirts of Essenʼs inner city, which in recent years has provided space for intimate concerts, art exhibitions, readings, and diverse encounters. Whether rave, concert, or exhibition — every Gitter event aims to create a temporary space where everyday conventions give way to fresh ideas, allowing something new to emerge.
